Department Overview

The Health Assistant programme provides students with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to support healthcare professionals in delivering quality patient care. The programme emphasizes basic nursing care, patient hygiene, infection prevention and control, first aid, health education, vital signs monitoring, and healthcare ethics. Students undergo practical clinical training in approved healthcare facilities, preparing them to function effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

The programme is approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and structured in accordance with the standards of the relevant health regulatory authorities. Graduates are equipped with the competencies required for entry-level healthcare support roles and are prepared to pursue further professional development within the health sector.
